Since its inception, MAAP has actively promoted education as one of its mission priorities. It has been successful in providing opportunities for the apnea professionals in Michigan to collaborate. Toward this goal, MAAP has sponsored several statewide Infantile Apnea conferences since 1990. The latest, held in Grand Rapids on April 23, 2002, was titled "Infant Monitoring - Challenges and Pitfalls". MAAP's latest educational initiative has been the release on CD of a series of apnea lectures.
