Now you have finally finished writing your first web page. All of your content is where you want it, formatted the way you want it to look, your graphics are in place, as are the links to your other pages. Now you need to save your page. At this point in your career as a webmaster, you can probably put all the files for this web site in a single folder. So go to My Computer and make a folder to keep your website files in. Then save the HTML file you just wrote in that folder as "index.htm" (or "index.html" if you're doing this on a Mac) because it is your home page. In fact, your web authoring software will probably add the ".htm" for you, as long as you save your file as a 'Web page'. And that's it!! You have just written your first web page.
