managing domain names on the Web. Initial cost is $70 for 2 years, then you can renew yearly for $35, cheaper for longer term renewals. Because each web address must be unique, go to InterNIC's "WhoIs" site, enter the domain name you would like and they will tell you if that name is already taken. If it is, you can change the spelling or add a few words and try "WhoIs" again until you find a name that is available. Or you can keep the name and try a different 3-letter domain extension. Once you decide on a domain name, you register it with InterNIC. Your web hosting service will tell you the server info you need for this. Or, for a fee, they can handle all the registration details for you. |
