Dosage schedules for antibiotics commonly used in the treatment of neonatal sepsis and meningitis are available here. For some of these drugs, measurement of serum levels and appropriate adjustment of the dosing is recommended.

This is not intended to be an exhaustive source of information on all antibiotics, only those used most often for neonatal sepsis and meningitis. Many other drugs are used on occasion, when the susceptibilities dictate. These less familiar antibiotics should only be used under the supervision of an infectious disease specialist.
