That's all four of the basic design principles.
Study them, learn them and look for them in use. Every
time you look at a magazine cover, look for uses of these principles. Notice how things on the cover are aligned; find examples of repetition and contrast; note the uses of proximity. Also look for instances where these principles have been ignored. I guarantee that now that you are aware of these principles, you won't look at anything in print the same way again.
And remember they apply to more than just web pages. Keep these principles in mind when you are making Powerpoint slides or Word handouts. Even if you decide to ignore them, do so consciously, not by accident.
